Amelia Briggs is an NYC-based multidisciplinary fiber, painting, and installation artist. Her motivation as an artist is heavily influenced by her training as a figure painter; consequently, the body language and gestures in her work reveal an inner landscape concealed beneath the surface.

Drawing inspiration from psychology and natural systems, Briggs creates three-dimensional wall hangings and paintings that draw from botanical and anatomical forms with almost free-flowing movement and subtle color shifts.

In 2019, Briggs began constructing mirrors from reclaimed materials, using bedsheets, fiber, and thin coats of latex. Incorporating them into her lush installations, Briggs posted images online, which caught the eye of renowned Los Angeles-based designer Kelly Wearstler. This instigated a collaboration that continues today. This partnership has been featured in publications including Vogue, Elle Decor, Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Surface, and Domino.
